5. How are CSC’s teachers?

In CSC Chinese Training Center, teachers and supervisors are native Chinese speakers who are highly experienced and qualified, and hold university degrees in teaching Chinese as a foreign language. All levels are available.

6. Is it possible to set up named classes for special groups?

We can arrange to design the named class for special groups upon requests. However, the number of students in each class should be at least 10. The tuition is on a 10-student basis even the class may has less than 10 students. Such a request to set up specified class must be submitted 3 months in advance.

7. Will a certificate be issued after the completion of the courses?

Yes, students can receive a certificate when the course is finished.

8.What’s the minimum and maximum number of the students in one class?

To the classes for individual applicants, the minimum number in one class is at least 10 students; while the maximum number in one class is at most 20 students.

9.Is it possible to learn Chinese and obtain credits or certificate online from overseas?

10.How can we be advised that we are admitted after submission of the application form and application fee?

We will mail the Admission Notice and the accompanied material to the applicants within 3 days through the post office after we receive the application form and the evidence of the transmission of the application fee. Applicants who own a fax number can receive the faxed Admission Notice before the mailed one.

11.What’s the difference between the Putonghua Course and the Chinese Courses?

The Putonghua Course focuses on conversation and pronunciation correction, which is specially designed for Hong Kong and Macao students, who normally speak Cantonese. The Normal Chinese Course focuses on conversation and Chinese character learning, which is only designed for foreign students whose native language is not Chinese.

12.How about the accommodation standard and the relative cost?

The students’ dormitory normally provide double rooms with private toilet, air-conditioner, telephone, color TV and fridge etc. The cost is about USD15 per person per day.

13.When to pay the tuition and the accommodation fee?

The tuition can be paid at the time to enroll; the accommodation fee should be paid at one time within 3 days after settle in.

14.How to pay the fees?

The following 4 tuition payment solutions are acceptable:

1. T/T. Please T/T the tuition 2 weeks before the registration date. All bank service charge is born by the applicant. The tuition cannot be refunded after T/T to the university’s account if the reason is not caused by the university.
   
2. Cash. US dollar or RMB is acceptable.
3. Traveler’s check;
4. Credit cards. The payment for accommodation can be made either with RMB in cash or credit cards. However, temporally only RMB in cash is acceptable when check in singles rooms of the BLCU Conference Centre.

The credit cards are restricted to the following types (an additional 4% processing fee is charged by the banks):

• International VISA;
• Master Card;
• American Express;
• Dinners Card;
• JCB Card.

15. How about the curriculum?
Normally the students are required to study the following subjects: Phonetics, Oral Mandarin and Intensive Reading.

16. What kind of documents should the students bring with to enroll?

Status credential;
Educational certification;
Tuition, accommodation fee and necessary living fee;
4 pcs. 2” photo;
The Admission Notice.

17. Why there is a difference between the correspondent bank and the opening bank when T/T the application fee?

Since the foreign currency remitted from overseas is required to be received by the Bank of China, and then transfer to other banks. Therefore, both of the name and address of the correspondent bank and the opening bank should be mentioned.

18.Is it possible to withdraw cash with the credit card in Beijing?

The answer is YES. However, the credit card must be connected with the relevant Beijing bank network. Generally, only RMB can be withdrawn while some additional processing fee will be charged. For more details, please consult the bank which you applied your credit card.

19. How to confirm the accommodation has been arranged?

Under normal circumstance, accommodations can be arranged if the student has indicated the request for a double-room or a single-room to be arranged by the university on the application form. If the student wishes to confirm the accommodation reservation, please ring or send e-mail/fax 2 weeks before the enrollment.
